Here is the situation, I can smell a really strong raw fuel smell emanating from the driver side rear corner.
no CEL

no visible leaks
I checked the fuel line to the rail, no leaks. Checked the rail and plugs not visible gas. No gas smell under the hood. Just very strong at the rear corner.

I left the jeep running to inspect, no visible leaks. When I stuck my head un pder the driver side rear corner the smell was so strong I thought gas would be pouring on my head. I poked around and got my hand on top of the tank a little no wetness. I poked around at the plastic below the filler neck and it seems to be pretty strong there, but no wetness.

is there a vent by the filler that can leak fuel? What would cause this? No CEL no stored codes.

thank you

Is the fill neck/hose tight? Any mods lately like body lift requiring changes to the fill hose?

I have the same problem. I suspect that the small hose that connects the tank to the filler spot is leaking.
If you want to test it, fill the tank to full, and park the Jeep sideways, so the driver side is lower than the passenger side.
If you have the same problem as mine, then you will see a very small gas leak under the tank. I bought the replacement hose part and planning to replace it soon.

Thanks I will give it a try, I figure it’s this hose or maybe the release valve on that side? have you pulled the plastic cover by the filler neck to inspect yet?
