Need an advice on my 2004 42RLE mini overhaul

Add oil through the check tube. I added 6.5 quarts, but I have Derale cooler,. Which adds some capacity. Initially I didn’t add enough (4.5 quarts only) and got this one. Added 2 more all was good.
Connect the battery.
Have an OBD reader ready.
Start the rig, keep the thing in park wheels in the air, no parking brake applied.
Check the oil level, it should be as in cold.
If oil level ok, go into each gear, see wheels spinning and nothing blowing up.
Read codes, see that nothing comes up.
Do multiple cycles in the air, like drive reverse stop
Park, 1, 2 etc. . If all is good, you are good to and mini overhaul is done.

My opinion is that if you have 42RLE and you don’t know how it was treated in the past, doing it proactively before things go south on some trail, is a very good idea.
I spent like 450$ In parts ( new solenoid pack, reman valve body, new LR accumulator and snap ring, Sonnax repair piston and Transgo shift kit (I only used the seal from it) and maybe 10 hours to do everything. If I would do it all over again, I would use the Sonnax repair piston on all 4 accumulators, which would add 160$ ( like 50 per piston), but I think that it is good enough when it is don’t to LR only, it is the one taking the highest pressure values.

If I would have the above write up, it would be much faster, as I spent at least an hour trying to disconnect the Solenoid pack connector.

1 hour test drive after mini overhaul at around 145F transmission pan temperature ( I have a gauge that read from oil pan), did not show any issues, shifts nice and smooth. Reverse always work, never missed, no clunking sfifts and it feels in general as it is shifting as it was designed by the factory.
I will follow up with a ride at 170-180F and see that everything still works fine.
