Manual transmission flush?

Ever since I changed out my trans fluid I’ve been getting a chirping sound. I’m starting to think my pump had other fluid in it (diff) and contaminated the trans.

I’d like to do the equivalent of a transmission flush. Anyone do such a thing?

Maybe remove the shifter and send a shit ton of brake clean thru it?

If the sound doesn't change when you depress the clutch pedal, it cannot possibly be coming from the trans. When you are stopped, clutch fully depressed, in gear, nothing in the transmission is rotating.

Could be TO bearing or something totally unrelated.

I'm betting the timing of the noise with your fluid change is just a coincidence.

Correction--I dislike Red Line MT-90. Very notchy feeling in my AX15:)

I had pennzoil synchromesh in there before and it was very smooth and glided into the gear position. Redline is different in that I can feel the point in which I have to overcome the engagement to get it to be where I need it. Its not a daily driver so perhaps Ill kick that can of changing it down the road until next season.

I really like the Royal Purple Syncromax since I did the fluid change in mine a month or 2 ago. Much smoother shifting.

I'm usually a sceptic when it comes to oils like Royal Purple and Amsoil but it was a reccomended lubricant and available locally so I gave it a go. Glad I did

You have a manual transmission so there's no need for a flush, just a simple drain and fill is good enough. I'd go strictly with Redline MTL for the new gear lube, what did you use before? Redline MTL is rarely found in auto parts stores, I'd get it on Amazon.

Hi Jerry, this may seem like a remedial question, but why is there no need to flush the transmission, given its a manual transmission? thx
