I finally bought my dream guitar

P90s have a very cool, unique sound!
For sure! Wouldn’t mind a les Paul special with p-90s one day or one of these 72CCCF24-CBD1-4CE4-B29C-FC46BB89304F.pngthere’s a great blues musician Tab Benoit who plays one of these he is worth checking out if you’re into blues!

Randomly just saw this thread. I don’t play guitar, but ive played upright bass for about 6 years and I’ve started to learn bass guitar. This thread made me think of the bass guitar I built from scratch over the past summer. It’s not perfect, but I’m super proud of it, and it actually works and sounds pretty good! Here are some pictures:

That's really cool! I play bass as well. Mine isn't homemade like yours, but she's a beauty nonetheless!

I started out playing bass and that bass was so '80s metal hair band and I was into metal and stuff then and I thought it was the coolest thing. I'll have to get a pic of it sometime, cuz at 1 point it was my dream guitar. In fact I keep finding dream guitar after dream guitar. Dream pedal after dream pedal, Dream amp after dream amp, dream pickups, etc.

Now I very rarely play anything other than guitar and occasionally a banjo. Tried to pick up pedal steel as a virtual instrument and keyboard, but I've now discovered sample libraries and can change key and tempo and some effects manipulation.

Below is my latest addition. I liked the looks, but wanted 1 I could plug in and I thought this would hold up better to my abuse around the house than the Martin I've been hammering on for over a decade. It's not the exact 1, but it's very very close, but it's spalted so each is a little unique. Btw a buddy's dad had an Ovation when I was young and it fit me well and was really comfortable and easy to play and I've always wanted 1. I'm not trying to get a perfect sound, just like to have a bit of fun and like to have something I can lug around with me and this is WAY better than my Washburn travel guitar.
