Since when have Cherokee XJ's started to go up in price?

Balls feeling extra itchy tonight?

Balls always itch. Hence how they remind you that they're there.. it's dark, otherwise I have no issue taking pics. Unfortunately dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I retun. Are they show queens? No. Absolutely not.spme whow physical rust such ae rockers and things. But mechanically they're phenomenal. Rust? Sure. If they were mint physically I'd ask 10k. I dont. But a mechanically sound one for 4-5k sn't unreasonable IF maintained properly. Let me guess, most of you that have snark comments are also on pirate4x4? I'm not knocking those that mod. I've built many. But when the initial convo is about a value increase I'm just speaking my part. Trash talk away. I don't care at the end of the day.

Also I love how people have jokes. That's cute. How old are you? I didn't insult or bash anyone's intentions I don't believe. You want pics of what? Repairs? That's where the money lies. It's like jiffy lube versus a factory repair. Bit im sire half of you making shit remarks work there or the locsl chain auto parts house. Its ok. We all have to eat. Sure. When I'm not making money to buy more I'll be home in the daylight and shoot pics over. It's always done how the factory intended. I'm the tool that buys an OEM heat shield for instance. Bought the last two my dealer said we're in the US. Maybe the dealer is full of shit, idk. If there's more I'll buy them...all I was saying is the XJ in stock form is a great platform and also an old design which is why value is increasing. It wasn't a shot any anyone here on "pirate", it's a fact. Money has gone downward. The dollar is worth nothing. Economy has changed. The days of "decent" 500 dollar cars are gone. When I was a kid you could buy a K10 for days for a few hundred. Now you can't. Rot boxes are a few grand to start. Everything is gold now. Welcome to 2022. Pick and choose your battles but don't bash a perfectly fine design. Yeah its not like it was a few years ago. Get with the times, and keep your snarky comments to yourselves. Back to the OP is where this stems. The XJ was ahead of it's time. And everything else in its era so to speak. That's where the collectabilty these days comes from.

Been driving my wife's '96 2-door as a daily for about a month, now. After tearing out the dash and resealing the cowl joints and replacing gaskets around anything that bolts to the firewall, I'm pleased to report that the floorboards now stay bone-dry even in the heaviest of rains. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed driving that little rig.

All of my camping trips this year were in my XJ as my LJ was off the road while I did some work on it, body and paint mainly. It ran flawlessly and was a lot of fun. The LJ will share the load next year and I'm looking forward to it.

I had an opportunity to buy five of those wheels (but only three center caps) a couple of months ago, for $150. Seeing your XJ makes me wish I had. Also, there's a '91 Limited in the wrecking yard with the white fender flares on it. I was seriously thinking about switching over from the black ones on ours to the white ones. Still might.

A recent shot of my commuter. Not much of a pic. Just acknowledgement that it still exists! ;)

They were simply called "10 Spoke Wheels" in the sales literature but people generally call them Turbines now. They're getting hard to find. I think there are a lot of them sitting in peoples' "junk piles" with them thinking they're probably not worth anything. When they are sold, they usually don't go for a lot of money unless they are in very good shape ... and most aren't.

As my XJ is a Limited, the white flares are correct. They were always body colour and there wasn't a lot of choices; white, black, red, navy, dark silver metallic and a kind of dark garnet red colour. I think that was it. What mine shouldn't have is a chrome grille and bumpers. They should be white too as should the body moldings. blah.
