Bronco vs. Wrangler

Would you guys trust a new/ newer Jeep to take the beatings that you sometimes give to your own jeeps on those rocky trails. When I look at the forums with these newer Jeeps I am very uneasy with the motor problems with the 3.8, or the paint-cosmetic issues. I would never buy a three year old Jeep.

huh, the 3.8 jk committed suicide. the 3.6 has been mostly reliable but i hated driving it, lacks low end torque compared to the tj. I have a JL and tj, while the new jeeps can hold up would u rather rock rash a 2003 tj or a 58k Wrongler.

It's a hell of a truck that's for sure. I remember some of the talk (not here) and most felt like the Bronco design was all show and not robust enough of an off roading machine. I guess time will tell, but damn no-one is pulling punches with the videos here.

It's not for me, far too expensive. Plus I like the simpler, more of the classic TJ design as long term keeper.

i agree, the bronco is offroad robust, but if you want 40's its gonna be hard to reengineer that front ifs and easier to solid axle swap it as of rn. At that point u have a wrangler. But for onroad and off road use i think bronco is better, for offroad only jeep is better, for on road with little offroad use, the Range Rover Defender. Bronco sits in the middle. Personally, the new broncos width and weight really kill it for me. its almost 5,000 lbs! and so wide, I know it won't fit on the mountain trails in Plumas National forest without sliding off the mountain, my tj barley fits.

Not bad. But I wonder what that setup cost. I don't like the rims and the tires are narrow. They look like 20". It had a good two inches in height on mine. I didn't look close enough for clearance. 2 door but wide.
