I’ve had a smell like in all molasses, and it’s a heater core leak.

So this summer in Texas I got the Dorman Bypass and did a flush and new Mopar radiator.

Life is just in the way of me doing an 8 hour change right now.

Curious, anyone have experience with this and do you see that the leak compromises the cooling system? I’m going to take I to the ranch and thought about taking off the bypass to have some heat, but don’t want to start spiking temps. Just curious if anyone has seen and done a direct comparison?

Answer to your question is probably not a cooling problem especially in cooler weather.

Unless it's a really significant leak where the system is not holding pressure and losing a lot of fluid.

Is there a quick & easy way to bypass the heater core? I want to drive my Jeep but don't know when I'll be able to carve out 3+ hours to replace it any time soon.

This is everything you need to bypass

You can get by without using the formed hose elbow if you wanna save a couple bucks.
