Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

This woolly fellow was just casually walking down the side of the road. Didn't care one single bit that I was driving towards him. He didn't even care when I stopped to grab a couple pics of him. He just kept right on walking. He did decide I was a little too interested in him when I tried to back up and get another pic. He took off at a full run,

Them Bighorns are intrestin' critters. I think they don't see cars as a major threat, and they don't realize that moving cars have people in them. Only when they see people in the cars do they spook. When encountered in the high country, their keen eyesight and agility results in a mind-blowing ability to keep distance between them and us.

Around here it's the ones on the highway that will just casually walk across the road until you honk. (Any given year there are multiple road kill big horn sheep on Highway 93 between Challis and Salmon.) The ones on the dirt roads that are by themselves are, for the most part, a LOT more skittish around vehicles. This was actually the second ram I saw this morning. The first one, (couple years younger judging by how much smaller his curl was) wanted nothing to do with me and he was further away.

Are you asking about the dog in the background? Two-year old Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix named Heidi.

The subject is six-month old GSD Bella, who just defeated the septic sprinklers and is very pleased with herself.

Naw, I was making a joke. The GSD in the foreground is the spitting image of one named "Blondi", who belonged to a certain Herr Hitler back in the day. ;)

Lift Bridge in Houghton, MI. My Alma Mater is located in Houghton and we learned to love and hate this bridge...Friend of mine got this picture recently, with the Portage canal laid down smooth as glass.

A Michigan Tech guy, I’ve worked with several engineers from there.

That's a cool bridge - what was the "hate" part of it?

It always seemed to go up and stop traffic during the busiest parts of the day. Plus...there really isn't a lot of room for "overflow" on the Houghton side, so traffic backs up downtown and plugs everything up. Its also old and can get jammed up occasionally, like an old elevator.
