Manual transmission problems on 99 TJ 4-cylinder

Got it 👍
I’ll have to check today.
I put SAE 10w30 in the transmission. How long should I run it before putting in new fluid?
Also, the water contaminated fluid was like pancake batter to clean up! I literally had to use a kitchen spatula to clean out my catch pans! Messy messy!

As i already said, you need to check everything. You bought a used vehicle of unknown servìce history and known lack of proper maintenance. Change every fluid, including brake fluid. And all filters. Brake, suspension and steering inspection.get to know your new jeep.

Give her a good run so it's up to operating temps and considering your description of the old fluid you might consider a second flush depending on what it looks like coming out.

so here is a pic of the fluid (SAE10w30) that came out of Flush 2.
I plan to put redline mt90 in when it’s flushed enough. I put in a 3 flush of 10w30 last night.
Has anyone had experience with this? How many flushes do you think before I put in the expensive stuff and leave it?
