Honey, a fair asking price is what someone is willing to pay you. Start high (not ridiculously high) and go from there. You never know what someone may be willing to offer

I've been offered $10K but I'm thinking at least $12K with todays used car prices. Just saw a Fugly Kia Soul for $12K around the corner from me. Which one would want to be seen in? I Got $6K in new Parts in it.

In my opinion the 2.5L is going to be the hang up… in my area between $5000 - $7000…

Humm! $5k??? Not here in N.C. I'm on my way down to Ak. with car carrier. I will give you $50.00 spiff X 6 upon delivery @ $6K each in same running and cosmetic condition as my 2000 jeep. Sorry cut top page to get engine spec in they want $12,500.00

Your Fine, KBB also was my go-to. But those were the good old days. I tried to get three hundred off. I couldn't even get hundred off the S10 With the old phrase "Check or Cash" NC charges yearly property tax on autos. NC States value on TJ is at $7500.00 for year 2023 in 2016 it was $5000.00 Go Figure.

First of all, it sounds like you know what you want so why did you ask for opinions.

Got $6K in new Parts in it.

Second, why do you think you should get all your money back for things that every vehicle are supposed to have?
New windshield?

Do you own A jeep? My 22 year window was so frosted and pitted (years of sand and rocks) you couldn't see me sitting in it. Flat windshields do that. So do flat grills.
2nd I only received 1 low-ball price I will need a few more to get a median price line. I'm thinking $9,500.00-$12,500.00 but, that's one mans opinion.

I’ve been looking for a year before I bought mine last week. 2002 4.0 with 5 speed.
It seems they are everywhere at all prices. I did not want to spend over 10g.
I test drove a dozen or more and knew exactly what I wanted.
My seller wanted 10 and I got him down to 8800 because it needed a few things. It was listed for seven hours before I bought it. You got to be quick if you find what you’re looking for.
Most of the ones I saw had close to 200,000 miles on them.
The one I bought only had 83,000.
Facebook Marketplace seemed to be the best place to sell and hunt. You can change the area in there and search many miles from where you live.
As far as yours goes, I think it is worth what you think but it will depend on what a buyer is looking for. It seems most are just like me and know what they want.
Good luck!

How long have you owned this Jeep?
Or do you just flip vehicles for a profit?

Imma start with I'm working in the North Texas area prices, and its a 4Cyl. I wouldn't pay more than 10K, probably a lot closer to 6. Rust doesn't look bad but 4Cyl and 33's are kinda killing you. Especially with no rear seat, radio, drivers seat is hurting paint is just kinda "ok" (looking at your profile). Besides having a new engine in it (and its a 4cyl) there's really nothing to put it forward as "upgraded" or "better". Nothing wrong with it, just not much to write home about. I mean it doesn't even have sway-bar disconnects. Great starting place for a build, clean un-molseted TJ, but they're going to want to pay more like 5-7K and they're just gonna yank the engine out and start over. You probably would have been better off selling it before you replaced the engine, but we are here now. If I had to sell it I would list for 10K and be prepared to take 7K

Again, not trying to hate on anyones Jeep. I think it has great potential, but I think that the money you put into the jeep doesn't really represent the same value for most buyers and you're going to windup selling at cost or a loss. That or keep the thing and build it 🤷‍♂️

Hey clown, get off your high reselling horse. You asked, forum delivered.
Those "refreshments" raised value of that jeep from "weekend project " to "maybe i can make some $ on this 4 cyl".

Whats next? Hang pine air freshener and call it "line new factory interior condition" ? gtfo
