What would be the best alternative to Savvy for skid plates?

I have been waiting for many many months for Savvy to get there skid plates back in stock. I am starting assume they will never produce them again. If so what is the next best ? I am currently running the Savvy engine skid and have it attached to my factory skid, but would really like to get a bit more clearance under the jeep.

So for you guys that have swapped out the factory Rubicon skid what would be the next best option?

In the same boat with you. I'll go look how bad I beat up my stock skid in the morning. Got home after dark from today shenanigans.

Savvy had some for sale a few months ago but I didn't have the funds.

X2 for UCFW. Been running the aluminum high clearance skid for years without an issue. It’s got quite a few gouges and scrapes from the rocks, but doesn’t affect the fit or function, and slides off rocks way better then factory shovel.

Thats frustrating as I have been on the wait list for a long long time. I was listed as I would get notified when they were back in stock but never recieved notification

Whoever makes their stuff must be SOL. If it goes out of stock it doesn’t seem to come back. I hope they come upon good times again. I’ve read posts like this back in 2015 though, so it may just be normal. Seems a bit abnormal though due to the stupid Fauci and co.

Savvy is an actual machine shop now. but they don’t make any tj parts.

I’m fine with buying Ucf engine&trans skid.
I’ll probably get a crossmember and make it work with UCF skid.
Now as for the sliders i don’t know what’s the next best thing.

If you want to do a crossmember, buy their DIY skid. It doesn’t have the trans mount provision and will allow you to get the skid higher.

If I was doing it over, I’d go with a Genright or other crossmember kit and have someone weld it up, then use UCF or Genright for the skid.

Would go savvy if available as it checks all then boxes and great design, just don’t know when they’ll be back in stock
