Ducks

I was filling up the other morning on the way to work, white JL Rubicon pulls up to the pump next to me, must have had 20 ducks in the dash  . I tell the lady driver "Nice Rubicon" she looks at my Rubi, no ducks on my dash, and just says thanks. :cautious::cautious:

so now you are being measured by the quantity of ducks on your dash and not by the actual off-road capabilities of your rig? haha.. damn JK/JL owners, they are the worst....

Getting ducked is considered an honor in the Jeep community, and whenever they find a duck on their vehicle, they display their ducks in the “duck pond.”
For more information visit: Duck Duck Jeep

I've seen mostly mall crawlers being ducked, so no.... I dont think is considered an honor.... maybe for mall crawlers... but defintely not for me... its just vanity and to try to feel themself better than someone said that their amazon yellow accesories on the dash and hinges looks good...

I've gotten two of these rubber cockroaches already, and my TJ has severe paint blister/fade on the hood and front fenders, and a nice multi-pinstripe job down both sides from the tree-lined trails up by Manistee Nat'l Forest. Both times, I've come out from the store to find it wedged in my door handle. I just assumed it was jealousy from the mall crawlers for a Real Jeep™.

It’s a silly jeep thing. I would not be offended or upset about it, nor would I be jealous of not getting one either.

@AndyG is the only owner I've seen get really mad when he doesn't get ducked if someone else in the group does ! He thinks his RUBI deserves a good ducking every time he parks it, even if it's just parked so he can clean the windshield . just have never seen anyone with such a perversion over a rubber duck :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Around here it is the JK / JL women drivers that think ducking is "just the neatest thing" and makes them part of the "Jeep Club".

I have a mangled old duck that I found in a creek bed. I keep it down in the spot ahead of the shifter. It's my anti-ducking duck.

Today I returned to the scene of the crime. Feb '22 I was headed out of the Elvis trail, as tail gunner I stopped to close the gate is when I found my anti-ducking duck. Today along with our Indiana farmer snowbird friend, I was leading the way to run Elvis the opposite way. We held a ceremony to honour the occasion.

Turns out I wasn't too far off. Thought something about the syntax was off, also suspicious was the use of Jeep owners as "they". Suspected 2nd language English. His profile has a website and not much else listed. Then at the bottom the website license indicates Greece. So maybe not Fiat land but damn close...

"whenever they find a duck"... Don't you tell me what I will or won't do with a duck... hoser.
