Anyone know what size bolt goes on the underside of the rear bumper vertically into the frame?
All the reading I’ve done said M12x1.75 but it’s definitely not on my 2002.
Is this is a pretty important bolt as far as strength goes when it comes to towing from the bumper (w/ tie-ins of course) or don’t I really need to worry about having them?

The more the better.
Probably the same as the one on the other side. ;)
Also, probably the same as the ones in the front.
I don't see a frame tie-in bracket.

I just realized my rear (flat) bumper doesn't utilize those holes;
so I never had to mess with them.
I've only had to deal with the fronts.

Bit the bullet and ended up tapping them out with an M12x1.75 tap.
Threads were really dirty/rusty so I’m hoping that that was the issue and that they were indeed an M12x1.75, if they weren’t… I guess they’re a hybrid of two different threads now.
Bolts are in, torqued to 50ft lbs.

M12 x 1.75 is correct except for a few of the early 97's.
