What is the 65th anniversary at its core?

Other than this on the panels seats and mats plus a rear 44, cruise control and a few other bells not necessarily whistles its a 4L Sport with upgraded soft top, only came in 3 colours Silver Black and Green
I actually just found out today that only 1600 were released so there are 1599 out there that aint mine lol

I have one of the others.
There are quite a few in Australia I see them for sale all the time, perhaps a large number went export to help boost jeep sales overseas? most of the 2006TJ,s for sale when I was looking were 65ths which surprises me now that I have found out only 1600 were made! Maybe the 1600 limit number was just in The States?

The 65th doesn't seem to add any value or saleability to a Wrangler here I believe because everyone just wants to do mods anyway so a Wrangler is a Wrangler, 60th 65th Renegade and Golden Eagles sell for the same price as a Wrangler sport.
There was no Rubicon here until JK and I have not seen a Sahara for sale but I think the Sahara was just badged Wrangler Renegade?

Anyway mine is totally stock and I now kinda like the stock look its growing on me. I am sure that will change soon :) but I want to sort out any potential mechanical and running gear problems before I consider mods. At least I dont have to worry about rust, Aussie cars take 30+ years to show even surface rust but the paint has been scorched off them :)

I never saw it either. I've only seen pics of the Jeep.

What was presented.

I would consider a Dana 44, cruise control, tilt steering wheel etc more than “just stickers” - def value in the 65th edition down here in oz - try and buy one now 👍. There was only 1600 made - that makes it a limited edition just like any other brand.

I agree! Those that dont have one and many in US have never even seen one in the Flesh like to say its just a badge but then "Dote" over a Sahara which in my opinion is also just a badge if you call a 65th just a badge! 65th Anniversary is I believe the Rarest limited edition TJ made. But hay a TJ is a TJ in the end even the Rubies now that so many TJs are modded to catch Rubi specs and above and so many Rubies are modding above Rubie specs. :)
I have got one and there are only 1597 others out there minus the wrecks which I have seen at least 2 parting out in OZ :)

Tilt wheel was standard on the X I believe - at least mine has one. Kind of silly. But I had to add the cruise control and a Dana 44 would have been nice!

I can only speak for 2002 as options and standard features did change over the years.

For 2002, it was standard on the Sahara only (maybe Sport? I have conflicting info). The tilt wheel was available as an option with the “Steering Group” on SE, X. It also included the leather-wrapped steering wheel. Cost $190 extra.

Cruise control was $250 extra on Sport and $300 extra for SE or X.

Dana 44 not available on SE or X. Cost $310 on Sport and Sahara (it was one of only a few options on Sahara because Sahara already comes with almost everything.)

Mate of mine picked up a 65th just yesterday for 2k as a repairable right off - only done 129,000k’s - so that will be one more back on the road soon.

The biggest draw, for me personally, is that the 65th and the Tomb Raider came from the factory with 15” forged alumnium Alcoa wheels. They might be the strongest and lightest wheel available from the factory.

I have a '98 Sport w/ tilt and cruise. My kid has a friend w/ a '99 Sahara w/ tilt, cruise, and a Dana 44, so yeah. Stickers.
But I'll give you "it's a selling point" to an interested buyer.

But you see they all came as "Standard" on the 65th even the 44 was an option on the Sahara but standard on the 65th!
Last TJ special addition more standard options than the Sahara only 1600 produced but just a sticker? "Not" lol

I have a silver 2006 Jeep 65th anniversary which I bought new

It also has three tops
All 65ths came with duel top , Hard top and premium Sunrider soft top with the zip out nylon stiffeners at the rear window posts, my original soft top is thicker and heavier than most soft tops., What was your 3rd top? I didnt have that on my build sheet
