No vibe UCF LoPro mount

There was no way to use the locker pump mount with the 241- I just didn’t have the real estate-

So in a moment of desperation or inspiration I cut a piece off the factory skid plate and made my own mount and used that to incorporate his bracket with the factory and I ended up getting the pumps a good 5-6” higher. May add a brush shield.

That looks really good, and you are hitting home runs with this build!!!!!

Does the Lopro mount cancel out the lift of the skid?
In other words, did the transfer case move up or down from stock?

It facilitates the higher skid by being thinner- and it can allow a transfer case to be dropped as well and not have to lower the skid- think TC drop but skid stays up- - so basically skid can go up or TC down -

Basically I went from 4.5 inches of stock drop to 3 inches- I don’t have a motor mount lift installed and I have the stock driveshaft- I just didn’t want to deal with the consequences of going up anymore. I’m not saying it is not a good thing- I just found a middle ground I was looking for.

I have the same skid with the stock trans.mount.
I made the small but necessary adjustments to accommodate the 241.
I was wondering if you knew if your trans. ended up or down from stock with the Lopro?

No- fair question- and I know it moved some- my exhaust is letting me know- wish I could answer- just wasn’t looking hard. Seems it went up.- Right now the two rear hangers really aren’t doing much- I guess it pushed it up enough and of course it took the exhaust with it-

Which leaves me thinking do I need to do the motor mount lift just to correct that or go to the exhaust shop- Of course if I do the motor mount lift I can raise my front skid some- somebody remind me- what are the other consequences beside the fan shroud?

I don't think this is my thumping noise, but it was definitely making contact.

I have been running the UCF ultra high clearance and lopro mount for years and it has worked good. My problem is that I got everything shoved up as high as it will go and even after clearancing the tub with hammer and bottle jacks the skid has bent up enough for the 241 to again contact tub. More driver induced problem than equipment.

Fan shroud if you don't lift the body at the same time. Other than that nothing else that I can remember

On my tranny mount which also has the exhaust hangar, I had to cut the center out of the exhaust mount and weld it back together in order to allow the exhaust to not be pushed up. I cut at least an inch out maybe more. Not sure if auto mount has the exhaust mount attached or if it is just the manual.

Cool- that tells me how to solve the challenge- I don’t have the integrated hanger but that certainly makes sense.

Thanks, And thanks again on the locker pump a while

My 4.0 automatic transmission (non rubicon) mount has the exhaust hanger built into it.

Haha, I took mine all apart looking for the "clunking" noise. When I put it back together I added the washer in the rubber to tighten up the lateral play and ground out the hour glass for more clearance and replaced the flat piece of rubber. When I put it back together I now have a vibration :) So I didn't have vibes before and now I do. If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all!!

Be sure the steel bushing inside is not locked into washer or it makes the metal inside and out one

Andy's anti-Vibe approach to the Low Pro mount has me interested. Took a look at the UCF site and saw this:

Note:
The LOPRO mount should not be used with automatic transmission in the early TJ because the adapter that attaches the transmission mount to the skid plate doesn't adequately support the bottom side of the LOPRO mount.

My TJ is a 2001 with a 32RH auto. Not sure exactly what the note means. Is it not physically possible? Not practical to modify?

Has anyone installed a Low Pro mount with my combination?

Did you get the exhaust worked out?

Some forget that if you move the trans up (TT), that angles the engine down in the front, which pivots the whole exhaust up in the rear. It's usually the muffler or tailpipe that hits.

I thought I was gonna be slick and shortened the mount by exactly the amount I was raising it so the exhaust would wind up exactly the same, but somehow its still raised at the tailpipe because I have witness marks on the shock where it's making contact when drooped and it didn't before.
