yea the other one that was somewhat close in price was the UCF ultra high clearance skid. I did like it as much if not better. it had the cross member for the nuts to sink into but not painted.
Awesome, thank you!Yep. On p 28 of my build thread it's all there.

remember to come back here with picsYep! My painting project starts this Thursday when my UCF gets here! Figuring on priming and then hitting it with some black engine enamel paint. It'll be pretty to I start dragging it across rocks and such, but will touch up easily with a rattle can.
Please do!May just start a thread to detail the UCF "Extra" install on my Rubi. Figure someone else might want to try and take a less painful route to TT theirs. I'm nothing if not optimistic!
Control arms, sye and dc shaft.Im keeping my TJ stock lift height and want to do TT. So, what am I going to need? I know I need a BL, MML, and the skid plate, anything else?
Looking forward to your install and impressions afterwards.I know it's only a little over an inch tuck, but for the price, it'll fit my needs, and I won't have to re-invent the wheel with new exhaust or TC linkage, or shifter binding.

tworley that is indeed savvy. To power wash mud caked-up in there would be a challenge I think. a couple of slotted holes on the lowest plain would help.
Well I am impressed with the rough country belly up skid plate.!! It's 1/4" thick. Just a little shorter than the stock skid. When you drain the transfer case it won't get on the skid. It's heavy duty in my book.
All the holes matched up perfectly and it comes with all the hardware needed (and then some). It pushed the trans back up so the 4wd lever matches up perfectly with the stock alignment bracket, so shifting 4x4 is much smoother. Hello buddy, any updates with the RC skid plate? would you recommend it? I was looking between the RC and Barnes (for the price TBH) and the RC looks a lot less mess to do, did you paint it before installing or did you trust in RC paint process? any rust or issues with the RC skid or is pretty much take the OEM off and put the new one in? (I already have all the required mods for a tummy tuck, MML, BL, Rear upper CAs, DC driveshaft etc..) thanks!
Yes it’s pretty much just bolt in other that installing the transmission bracket in the proper direction.
Now, if your wanting the skid to be perfectly level with the bottom of the frame you will have to get a flat skid plate.
But the RC did raise it up a good bit.
Later I installed a long oil pan skid and attached it to the RC SKID and all I had to do was drill 2 holes in the transmission skid.
I'm looking in gaining some clearance, not to go full flat... so I think RC will do for me, for what I saw it is around 2 inches of clearance so that's fine for me... I have a 06 so I already have a kind of OEM oil pan skid plate, so I think I will just bolt on that oil skid palte to the new RC Transer Case skid plate and that will be it....
