What are prices ranging for hard tops in decent shape. Thinking about selling mine. Great shape other than a couple hail damage spots on top. Has working defrost and wiper.

CL in my area is trying to run em for 1500-2k right now. It's not real. 800-1200 were the prices for the last two years depending on color, options and conditions.

Don’t get me started on LJ hard top prices…

Yuup $1500-2K is the common price I see here in AZ. I got lucky and paid $250 for mine over in CA. The owners had sold their Jeep and just wanted it out of their way more less. A lucky day! I like the hard top over my soft top because it's a lot quieter and helps with the AC when it's 117,000 degrees. Not to mention a little more secure than a soft top.

Sold mine for $800 a couple years ago. No regrets.

What kind of hail damage does fiberglass get? Cracks?

It's got a couple spots that baseball sized hail hit. It created a couple holes in the outer layer. I cover them with tan duct tape.

Since were talking tops, does any one have any experience with the current offerings in the after market world? I have seen some advertised on CL "new" I think they are out of SoCal. I am not a fan of how the windows look (sunk in vs flush on factory) But if I actually end up LJ-ing my TJ. those hard tops come with a payment plan! Other than the looks, how is the fit, finish, quality of construction, quality of the hardware etc.?

If you end up "Lj-ing", the Safari top looks amazing.

Yikes, a hardtop with holes covered up by ducktape probably isn't worth very much at all. Maybe you could part out the glass

We shall see... Other than that, it is in great shape. The holes are small, not baseball sized. That's just roughly the hail size.
