I have been lurking on here for probably 4-5 years now and just recently joined. I currently have a 2004 TJR (Light Khaki) that I picked up just before covid that is basically bone stock and has pretty low mileage on it (24K now). I have put about 6,000 miles on it the last few years just taking the family out for rides. I plan to keep this one the way that it is and just enjoy. These are not my first jeeps. I did a father / son jeep yj project, 24 years ago now that we did a complete mechanical, paint, and body restoration on. Growing up we had a CJ-7 and a old Jeepster Commando that he plowed snow with.

I recently picked up an 05 TJR (black) that will be a little bit of a project and something that I wont be afraid to use. It has the typical rusty front fenders, frame is ok- ish for a North East Jeep its entire life. No holes, No Patches, but surface rust. I found a guy in SC that parts these out on FB marketplace so I purchased a clean frame, oem fenders, and a oem hood. It has the 6 speed NSG370 that has the typical crap wrong with it. Plans with this Jeep are to swap an ax15 trans w/ advanced adapters bell housing. I had great luck with this transmission in the YJ and you can buy them brand new still. Go over it mechanically and swap out the rusty fenders.. The price was right on this thing so I have a good amount of play room as far as budget goes.

Upgrade the old and tired lift kit for a Savvy 4". Still debating if I want to run 33's or 35's but I will get to that point later this year.
