Has anyone used snap fasteners to repair a soft top with a broken window zipper? If so how did it work out?

I'm considering putting several snap fasteners through the velcro strips.

There’s no reason you can’t- I would in stall the top and index the holes with sewing pins.

The CJ seven tops snapped on completely- It was an entirely different vehicle experience.

I bought new zipper heads and cleaned and lubricated the teeth. That was enough for me to get the windows on, which is all I was after (I never put the top down).

If you need to put the top down, I would get new windows or top.

I snapped my back window for several years on my last TJ. Got me a long way while saving up for a new one. Worked great. I went about every 4 inches so exhaust didn't come billowing in

I’ve had good results having zippers and stitching repaired at the local old school Cobbler/Shoe repair shop.
