I have seen multiple threads in regards to this that seem to have different answers so figured I would post what I am seeing in case others have a similar problem. Started getting some vibrations about a month ago. Jeep (06 TJ Rubicon, 33" tires, 4.5" suspension lift, 1.25" body lift) ran perfectly fine under 35 MPH. Once I got to 35 MPH, I would get significant vibrations in the steering wheel to the point that the whole steering wheel was shaking. This would occur up to 45 MPH. Above 45, there would be no more vibration in steering wheel, but I could feel vibration in my seat instead. Got the tires rotated/rebalanced and the steering wheel no longer shakes, although I can still feel vibrations in steering wheel betweeen 35-45. The vibration in seat above 45 is still present. I know my tires are cupping a little bit as I went a little bit too long without rotating. Any thoughts? Just trying to avoid going out and buying a part then figuring out that it wasn't the problem.

Additional info I forgot to originally include: between 35-45 the vibration only occurs when accelerating. Shifting into 4WD Hi seems to eliminate vibrations. Also, my Jeep has a manual transmission in case that adds any context as to what problem may be.

Inspect the transmission mount for signs of deterioration or separation.
Unbolt the front driveshaft from the front differential and either strap the driveshaft out of the way or remove the driveshaft; then take the Jeep for a drive.
IF the vibrations are gone.... then the problem is one of the driveshaft U joints and/or double cardan joint center ball...
IF the vibrations are still present; reinstall the front driveshaft.
Unbolt the rear driveshaft and take the Jeep for a drive.

Sorry for late reply. Busy week. Ended up being the U joints. I went to go inspect them again and found some place in the U joints on the transfer case side of my front dirveshaft. Ended up replacing all the U joints in both driveshafts and they were pretty worn down. Rides great with the new U joints.
