Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Hell yes I got the Olive Green. Yellow might be OK for a random Jeep here or there but not a bike. I'd have gotten the Gray if the Grean wasn't offered.

And BTW they called this the G.I. Enthusiast Collection & the color is Mineral Green Denim for the paint color.

Not just denim colored, but green denim. And not just green colored denim, but mineral colored green colored denim.

The nice thing about the denim paints is no need to shine & polish it. My first Harley was a Silver denim and my first Road Glide was Black denim. Easy to keep clean and no need for wax or other such wastes of time.

On Saturday I took my daughter motorcycle shopping. She just wanted to look at new bikes

Sweet looking bike. Hopefully, that ugly ass mannequin didn’t come with it.

Thanks.

Sweet new motorcycle, love the military styling

It's part of what drew me to it over other bikes.

Oh, it’s beautiful Rick. Beautiful bike.

Thanks.

It had come down to 2 bikes. Either the Triumph 900 Rally Pro or the Pan American. I'd gone into the Harley dealership planning on looking at a used bike they had and ended up with this new one instead.

Thanks.

“Ended up with this new one.”

The life I’d love to live. 🤣

When are you turning this jeep over and getting on a trail so I can come rile your ass?!

Says the man with 3 TJ's in the driveway..... Oops and an XJ.
Being single HELPS and I'm only partly supporting one kid not 5.

It's getting CLOSER. Once I have this engine running correctly then I can start the final assembly with a few mods along the way. Dude you don't know how much I WANT this thing done.

It always SEEMS to be something with this damn engine. I was working on installing the tune from FRP and had the HPTuner running when I heard liquid leaking onto the garage floor. So I had to turn the key off and figure out what was going on.

DAMN IT........ I had a major fuel leak. Don't know how much I happened to run out onto the floor but it seemed like a LOT. So start investigating and find this.

Yep the fuel rail was leaking. I've been fighting with this fuel rail for a while and I'd cut one O-ring before but this one was a lot worse.

Local NAPA didn't have the O-rings so I had to run into Ellensburg to their NAPA but they only had one package of the O-rings. Hopefully I can get the fuel rail on this time and not have this again.

And I was smoking a cigar when this started leaking so I had to get it put out ASAP before I set myself or the Jeep on fire.

Ran into Ellensburg and picked up one package of O-rings which is 4 & I would need a total of 16 if I was going to replace them all. I'll put these 4 on the top of fuel injectors for now but I also ordered 4 packs of 4 off Amazon and they'll be here Wednesday. Hopefully just replacing the 4 upper O-rings will fix the issue right now but I'll have spares when the ones i ordered from Amazon arrive.

Once I have the fuel leak fixed I can go back to installing the tune from FRP and then fingers crossed I can start the engine.

I'm not sure if I'd have cried for you or laughed at you had you burned your jeep up this close to completion.

I respect that you show things in the build that didn't go perfectly. I wish you good luck getting it sorted. I have to say I am rooting for you!

I'd said when I started this project that I would show the good & the BAD as it went. Maybe my screwup will help someone else out along the way. Yes I've caught some SHIT from the peanut gallery & even gotten some less than helpful comments but it's all OK since I don't see those mouth pieces ever showing their screwups.

IMO we're all here to learn & help each other out along the way when possible. Those that choose to always be negative & not offer up help can kiss my 🐎.....

Thanks for the kind words.

OK folks here YA go.....

Sounds pretty DANG NAB good.

Fires up pretty good now. I've still got to install the check valve and see if it helps or not. Just not sure which location I should be installing it at. Will play with that some over the next few days.

It's got a nice burble from the drivers side.

Just a short video of the dash while running. And yes I've still got the Check Engine light due to the transmission throwing a code. I need to run it thru the gears & then check my fluid levels to see if the transmission is possibly low.

Prior to getting it running after I'd fixed the fuel leaks on the fuel rails I had another one that was my return line. I'd pulled it to drill the hole for the height sensor and had forgotten to hook it back up. So I flooded the area around the tank sitting on my motorcycle lift. Not a BIG deal & was a 2 minute fix.

Started figuring out the HPTuners software and got the PCM downloaded so I can send it to Ryan @ FRP. This is a totally different deal than what I'm used to.
I now send this file to Ryan & he will write me a tune for my engine. Then I go thru a process of downloading the file he sends back to me & that gets installed onto the PCM in the Jeep.

Dash while it's running.

I still don't have the fan or temperature sensor. Now that the I've got the engine running correctly I can start getting all thing tidied up.

I put one of the FRP stickers on my refrigerator and will put one more of the stickers on once I find a spot for it.

Hopefully the engine saga is over at this point.

Thanks to everyone who's offered help and advice. I know that there is a lot here to read so those of you who follow my thread I really do appreciate it.

@CMBD I honestly wasn't trying to blow you off when you were offering help with the intake issue I was just frustrated at the time.
