Utah Official TJ Fest 2023 Thread

There’s a back entrance to Arches that you enter farther N up the highway past the main entrance. I think it comes into the park at Balance Rock. @rasband tipped me off to it in 2021. We entered that way in our Yukon, so it’s not difficult, but more fun than waiting in a line or the main entry in general. There are a couple of sights to see along the way.

Definitely a maybe for me. I've got the time off but we're also working on a lot of different house projects this year.

I really really want to go, but those dates are right at the tail end of the last days of my 3 month notice at work. I just don't see being able to enjoy wheeling while dealing with whatever is going on at work.

Once I have a better idea of what I'm doing, let's plan on multiple trips over the summer, fall, and next winter around north america! (the Official TJ Fest Tour?)

You can scratch me off the list. Won't make it.

I think we can officially conclude this will not be a Festival. 🤣 There’s got to be more participants.

Cant swing the anniversary in Moab again lol. We're going to need to get you out there again.

I am looking forward to the trip.

I'm still in

Good! If @tworley, @jjvw, and some others on the list can come I guess we’ll know who’s wheelin together. 🤣

I’m wanting to run Cliffhanger, Poison Spider/Golden Crack/Gold Bar (long day), Kane Creek, Pritchett, and whatever else. After that I’ll be looking to wheel CA.

Let's do either Slick Rock, or the Con. Both are fun trails.

Poison Spider/Golden Crack/Gold Bar (long day)

Start at Rusty Nail/Golden Spike/Exit Poison Spider.

Started around 10 and we were out before dark. Rusty nail is one of my favorite trails plus you still get to hit Golden Crack! I think its more enjoyable than the run you listed above...
