American Racing Headers Long Tube Headers for the Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0

Soooooo, why is no one talking about the horrible fit of these headers around the oil pan ??? I love the 20-30hp dyno claim, love the “crack resistant” design … but the dingleberry design below the engine is no acceptable … I want to like these! I been drooling about their headers on my C3 Corvette for years.

Anyways, hope the “revised” design is better …

It sounds like these guys first foray into Jeeps was a big mess-up.

I've had their headers on my C6 Z06, ZL1 Camaro, and Boss 302 Mustang. Never once was their any sort of fitment issue and the quality was always top notch.

The clearly didn't take their time with designing them to fit into a TJ.

Roger. Not trying to push it at all, just be aware only the early 0331 castings have the head cracking problems, not the other earlier castings like 0630 or 7120 (like this one).

Any other folks take the plunge on these things??? Seems like there is room for product improvement … I hope ARH takes the opportunity… I’d love to have an extra few ponies, less heat under the hood and a little more rumble. 1600 is steep, but I’ve done dumber things.

Good morning everyone. I just finished installing a set of these. Man they're beefy. Love them. I had them cerakoted and the fir great.

Thanks a bunch for the pics. Does it look like up travel from the drive shaft could get close to it? That was a problem for some people.

Perfect. Thanks for sharing. I bought mine about 6 months ago but haven't installed it yet. They said the tweaked it to fix fitment issues. Sounds like that's true 👍

How far back do you have 3" exhaust?

I've got a 1.5" MML and a 1.25" BL so I'll probably be in the same boat. And the 3" fitment over the rear axle was why I was asking, but I guess that's how you solved that 😁 I really appreciate the input!

I've still got mine in the garage waiting to install. It's moving slowly up the list of things to do but I've had a lot of stuff going on. I will did sure post up when I get them installed.

Should get them ceramic coated while they’re sitting around collecting dust …. Local powder coating shops can ceramic coat … I still want to try these things out
