Adding central locking to my '99 for convenience. I ordered a controller from eBay and a couple of actuators bought locally (a 2 wire slave and a 5 wire master).
The controller is wired to the battery and the key fob seems to work and the controller clicks once for lock and twice for unlock but I can't get the actuators to move. 12V directly onto the green/blue wires makes the actuators work so I know they are functional. Looking closely at the second diagram in the manual it seems to imply that this controller only works with a car that already has central locking. I've tried wiring both the slave and master actuator every combination shown here using the orange, white and yellow wires but nothing works. Do I need to buy a different controller?
I've wired the slave actuator as per Figure D but that didn't work either...
