Greetings and salutations,

I very recently acquired a 2006 Wrangler, it's my first Jeep but I've been a Jeep guy in waiting for years.

Maybe I'll run into one of you guys at the Jeep Blessing in Mesick.

It's a low-mileage Jeep out of California that's on its way here now via transport. I can take some better pictures when it gets here.

welcome to the forum 🍻
you have excellent taste in Jeeps

I appreciate the warm welcome. The Jeep rolled off the transport on dry pavement; 8 hours later we had 10-12 inches of heavy snow on the ground. Loaded the kids up and we went on a suburban snow-wheeling adventure. Couple days later, now the reality of an extensive list of maintenance is coming into focus.

- Interior in dire need of detailing
- All the fluids and corresponding filters
- Replace various suspension bushings
- Coolant hoses & serpentine belt
- Valve cover and/or RMS replacement
- Rear driveshaft alignment tinkering
- Driver's side Power Step isn't working
- Tilt steering lever is floppy
- Other stuff I'm certain to find while I'm crawling in and under this thing.

...so, I'll be busy this Spring. :)

So, you must be in the Lansing area? I'm just North of Grand Rapids, and this storm that they had everyone hyped up for totally missed us. Got maybe a half inch of wet stuff.

I'm in Lake Orion at the Northern edge of the Detroit Metro sprawl. We had heavy wet snow for about 10 hours.

Congrats on the "new" LJ! You mentioned Mesick, do you spend a lot of time up north?

I don't but my parents live just outside of Lake City so I make the trek up there a couple times a year.

Very nice LJ but I'm partial to yellow. Looking forward to a build thread.

Presently, I'm not looking to change too much on the Jeep. It's already got a professionally installed 4.5" lift, 33" tires, after-market bumpers, and a decent winch. It's already more extreme than my wheelin' experience warrants. :)

Now that, that is one good looking jeep.

🙂

(Note: Comment from NashvilleTJ concerning yellow LJ’s may in fact be biased)

Welcome to the forum!
