Never again will I own a German car, I promised myself that after numerous VWs in my younger years, as well as a number of E36 M3s, E34 M3s, and an M5. I simply won't do that whole overpriced parts and over-engineered bull crap again. I will stick to American and, Japanese, and any other make but German, haha. That's not to say I don't like the cars they produce, I just don't want to own one, that's all!
Not a fan of the $100 oil changes?? lol

Not a all. Nor am I fan of the ridiculous cost of replacement parts. A damn replacement A-pillar trim piece (which was cloth) for my M5 was $350!

And they're amazing to drive too! You just have to have very deep pockets to be able to afford to drive them. There's a reason most German vehicles depreciate so much in value.

All I will say on this very sore topic is that I recently sold my 2010 535i xdrive with a 6 speed manual, insane audio, and so much work put into the little things. After maintenance and repairs over a 3 year period it amounted to about $45k for the repairs/maintenance, and I paid $24k for the car in 2014. Granted aftermarket warranties and the dealership had to pay most of it, but it sucked. The dealership forgot to put oil in the car after an oil change and that was $25k of the $45k, they denied it but BMW ended buying me an engine.

Okay guys

I’m an idiot

This is going to be one of those things I regret... like that working “girl” in Vegas.

Thus far, I’ve received nothing but SPAM. So frustrating.

I would recommend getting a secondary phone number/email for this sale. You will get clobbered from companies that want to sell the car for you and help the buyer finance it. I used an app from the Google play store called sideline, works like a charm. It's pegged to your phone number but disguises it so you do not need a 2nd line, and you can also text...similar to how craigslist masks your email with one of their generic ones.

When I sold my car via autotrader, I paid a BMW forum member 5 bucks for my carfax, could be helpful to prove out what you are saying, and also what potential Buyers might find.

I will probably get a MB factory extended warranty on my wife's 2016 C300...I was quoted $2400 for an extension..forgot the term but it was decent. For now I am doing the A & B services myself as will also be doing the brakes.

I only paid about $32K for the car with a msrp of over $54K at 11 months old and 13K miles, so it is not like I paid a huge some of money relative to what it could have been.

I wish you had posted this earlier. The same asshat keeps calling me trying to “sell your car for you for only $299.99”.

That guy can totally shove it.
