What did you do to your TJ today?

Got a replacement dipstick delivered today. The engine I picked up last weekend has a broken one stuck in the tube. I’ll try some old injection molding tricks to get it out before pulling the tube out aka heating up a wood screw and sticking it into the plastic and allowing it to cool down. Hopefully there’s enough plastic to make it work.

Or chewing gum on the end of a stick ....It works.

Finished up putting the Jeep back together after the body mount repairs and rotated the tires since I had them off.

Also got my new tub out of the trailer and on the dolly. Was gonna get help but I decided to just do it myself. I love it when I figure out how to outsmart an inanimate object 😂

Lighting upgrade this morning and polished the wheels since it wasn't raining. Want clear covers but they are back ordered.

Then headed to Chemical Guys for something for the flares. I love Natural Shine, but its water based and streaks n gets spots with winter condensation. The Tire and Trim Gel is oil based and should hold up better last longer with the moisture. Both products are dry to the touch fairly quick.

Just started to sprinkle so we shall see 😀

I might get laughed at for this one.

My clutch pedal pad has worn down over 20 years and has started to get very slick when my shoes are wet.

My foot has slipped off the pedal a couple times recently so I decided to fix that issue.

I originally thought about replacing it with a new one but I couldn’t find one local.

This is my solution. I put a few small screws in through the back of the pad to give my shoe something to grab on too. Kinda like studded tires.

Did you take the vin sticker off the door jam or did the breaker ? Nice that it has the wiring harness left. Really clean looking tub , nice find !
