Window Shopping for Ramp Trucks or Roll Backs

I found you your perfect ramp truck.... A little work & you'd have a nice sleeping area too.

Figured you would. It's a Chevy too.

Just showed the add to my father. His response was, we could work with that.

I need to play the lottery. That thing would need the rear cut off and shortened. 12v Cummins with a trans and rear end.

We have some big coach builders in town to gut and do up that interior.

Yep that sounds about right. But damn it's a good starting point.

I like the idea of towing my Jeep for out of state wheeling trips. I have come around in my thinking that my 69 C-20 will not have the brakes to tow the Jeep with the drum brakes it has. Roadkill and watching Finnegan's Garage with the OG Ramp Truck, makes me want one. My thinking for wanting a ramp truck is not towing a trailer. Califorication has a 55mph limit on towing trailers and less money on upkeep of a trailer, never mind a place to store the trailer.

I know it isn't a roll back but I'd love to do this to a c20 or a longhorn

later model spindles don't take much to adapt to our 67-72s. Hes putting in an 8.1 and an HO axle.

Man just hang some square body disc spindles on your C20 and tote a little trailer. The factory AC parts aren’t hard to retrofit and those systems work well if you put in the work.
Hell you could put a BBC or LS in it also for less than it would cost to go any other route.
I’m on the 67-72 board too, currently putting a 6.0/TKO in my 68.

... great lockable storage space.

That and way better than a tent if only going for a couple nights and ya dont want to bring the trailer.

I have spent more nights than I can count sleeping in the back of my CC F350. The back seat of my megacab is like a studio apartment.
