Portland thieves jacked my truck

I had a keyed lockout in a few of my rigs. I like the magnet one better!!! I need to get one.

MOTHER FUCKers, in a busy work parking lot, middle of daylight with a mobile theft deterrent camera "island" unit pointed right at my truck thieves tried to steal my truck AGAIN!!! This time my kill switch worked and the truck was still there. I have a bunch of lights lit up on my dash now though, ABS, no blinkers, TBC fault, etc. I have to figure out what went wrong. They must have cranked the engine for a long while with no PCM power supply, hope something isnt fried. I dont know if i should try to claim with insurance or not?? They stripped the ignition out again.

Dang man...That sucks! I feel for you. Time to move! Or maybe time to buy a Rottweiler to ride along with you all the time.

Dang Nab dude that really SUCKS.
A friend of mine had her Ford F250 stolen out of the Les Schwab parking lot. They recovered it after about 6 weeks but it's just the fact it happened.

I'm with Mike, get a BIG dog to haul around in the cab.
Again sorry to hear this.

There are a lot of reports here of that generation F250/350 being stolen too. Its insane. A family a block down from me had someone attempt to steal theirs, I noticed the punched lock and knocked on their door to tell them. Apparently their truck had been stolen before but they always pull the fuel pump relay, so they weren't able to get it started.

Sorry to hear its happened again.

Shoot, that really sucks. Support getting a big dog or alarm for the truck!

Time to install an alarm with a LOUD siren inside the cab. If you can't catch the thief, make the mofo's ears bleed.

Ya probably right, it might give them less time to break all my shit

Well, we know one thing. Cameras don't do squat to deter thieves. At least they didn't get it this time. Chalk it up as a win. Blow their eardrums out next time. Sucks to be you man. Need to cut these guys hands off.

So are you thinking a hidden switch that when activated disables the fuel pump but enables a siren when the ignition is turned to on?

Disables fuel pump and activates this, give new meaning to butt warmers….

Run the negative into some sort of slip on steering wheel cover - positive woven with some steel thread into the drivers seat cover…. Then set the camera up…

What year range is this? My stepfather has an 07 f250 they do a lot of camping and traveling with.it'd be seriously messed up for the fam to come back from a hike or fishing and find the truck and pristine airstream trailer gone

07 is the same era as mine but at some point they started adding a chip to the key. Not sure what year.

You could get a pedal lock too.

Something like this would stop them from driving off.

That actually seems like a decent VISIBLE deterrent. It’s costing me
$250 to get new ignition. Stil have to replace the canopy lock and rear slider lock also.

I would replace the key tumbler with an RFID push start while it was all busted up.

My daughter has one of those cars that the internet made easy to steal. So I've been looking up ways to secure it better without spending multiple hundreds to have a low paid tech hack up the wiring while trying to install added security.

For now, she lives in a safe area, has a garage at home, and parks in a monitored garage during the day.
