Greetings all. It's been a while. Fortunately that's due to The Moose beeing essentially problem-free for the last year+ (uh-oh, now I did it)...
Have leaky rear axle seals. So I figured this would be an opportune time to just replace the entire axle assemblies. Normally I wouldn't be confused by this but I'm having a hard time making out which shafts I need to buy. Spent the last 1/2 hour looking through the forum and didn't see anything definitive.

The Moose is a stock 2005 Limited Rubicon. Looking for the assembly that includes shaft, bearing, and seals for both sides. Any recommendations?

This is my go-to, and it comes already set up with the seals, bearings, and axle shaft retainer bracket already in place. All you have to do is thread in the studs after applying a drop or two of red Loctite to the studs. This kit is disk-brake specific, make sure whatever you buy is for disk brakes. Drum brakes use a different axle retainer bracket.

I'm assuming this is for both axles

Some info on Revolution gear. Edit: From Mac McMillan, formerly from Superior Axle and Revolution Gear.

The Long and short of who we are and what we are doing is pretty simple. I have been in the industry for a long time... Working for Randy's, Superior Axle and a VERY short stint at Transamerican. As many people know Superior went under a few months after I left, so after leaving Trans I sat down with Foote Forge (The factory that made the Superior US Made axles) and hammered out a deal to revive the US Made axle line. At the same time I was able to secure a deal with the company that (In My Opinion) supplies some the best aftermarket gears in the nation to rent space from them as well as buy gears.
After putting all the pieces together, I launched the Revolution Gear & Axle brand earlier this year. I really believe in US Made axles and the quality and consistency they comes with them so bringing back just makes sense to me, so that’s what I did and so far it's been pretty crazy. Basically, I'm going back the core of what Superior did well in their heyday and getting back to the basics that work! We have even made some changes to make the axles even better then they use to be.
Mac

Also a further note, their gears are double Lapped for an even better match between ring & pinions.

I just ordered a set of the rear 4140 chromoly from Revolution (Discovery series) that Jerry linked too. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow by 7pm. Mostly it's preemptive for me. 35's on a Dana 44? Yes and no. Depends on trails. I'd rather be safe than sorry. $376 shipped is a good deal.

Damn...I really don't need new axles, but ordered a pair anyway since my axles/seals look to be original. Who knows what they are going to cost in 1-2 years anyway ;)
