Okay... I've read the other threads, but not found the information I need. I have a 97 TJ which I had some mods done to when I bought it in 2016.. Among them is a 3" lift kit, wheels from a JK, new winch, bumpers, etc etc. Here's the 'Old Grey Mare' as she was a month before I left her at the Black Hills house and headed to Florida for the winter (actually pict is from when I bought it)...

Fast forward from 2016 when this pict was taken (looks weird without all the look where I've been decals LOL)...

So before I left the old girl in South Dakota, I bought her some new trinkets: 4:56 gears, air lockers, and a complete overhaul kit for Dana 30 & 35 axles (not all in photo). This all should be completely installed shortly, I get there in May..

Then before I fled south, I took her tire shopping and she's sporting LT285/70R-17 KO2's (33" diameter). I think the JK wheels are a bit narrow, and they have spacers which I'm not a fan of. I would like to get a set of plain steel wheels with baby moon hub caps for it... US Wheel looks like the only place I can find them, so I need dimensions. for the tire width and offset.
The 33" tires rub if I crank the wheel over hard, but no other time yet.

One other thing... I am an old guy, I have had more than my share of crazy toys. I'm now down to this old girl and a new Polaris General. I did a lot research before dropping this relatively tall stack General Lees upgrading Ol Gray, because I kept hearing about how people are snapping axles. Save it, already heard it all many times, learned why it happens, and I think I'm good. If not, maybe I'll buy one of those Chinese axles with the fancy names, or just replace what I break...

For now, I need to know dimensions of on the wheel I need> Width for these tires, and offset...
Thanks folks, maybe I'll see you in The Black Hills, The Big Horns or possibly Moab

I have 265-75-16 KO2s on my 06 Rubicon LJ with 2.5” OME lift and stock rims. There is 5” front and 6.5” rear clearance between tire and fender.

JK wheels have more backspacing, so with the JK adapter you're probably sitting right where a stock size tire would.
A larger tire would need additional spacing or a wheel with less backspacing to push it out.
Are you keeping the 17" tires when you buy new wheels?
Might just be the picture, or do you also need an adjustable trackbar?
