What did you do to your TJ today?

Let ‘em sniff each other then drove my manual - looks like it may be traded this spring and just trying to get ok with the idea- If it works out I’m hoping it’s replacement ends up being its spitting image with an auto.

Went down the back side of Mt. Lemmon. Few muck holes and downed trees. Search for fossils. Stoped for lunch in San Manuel AZ. at Pizza Garden. Had the best Pastrami and Cheese hogie west of Pittsburgh PA. Then went back to Tucson via Redington Pass. Was too late in the afternoon for Chiva Falls. Lots of Campers. A few bare buns. That thong didn’t have a choice. Couldn’t get my camera up fast enough.

I performed an exorcism.

The handling is dramatically improved. It seems like sorcery is afoot, my brain can’t make sense of it. Admittedly, I was skeptical that changing this back to stock would amount to much of anything. I’m a believer now. Thanks guys!

It would be worthwhile for you to think through and understand why there was an improvement, No sorcery at all. Understanding this will help you in the future.

Tore down & lubed JJs on Savvy Arms and Trackbars. They are brand new and clearly needed lubed before going in.

Gotta use plenty of anti-sieze here in the rust belt.

Before:

Level of lube from the factory. About the same across all the JJs.

Finally started the tailgate refresh.

While the rear Barnes Low Profile bumper and front Motobilt stubby are off at the shop getting PC'd, I pulled the Rugged Ridge Spartacus HD hinge & carrier (posted it on FB MP), installed the OE hinges, installed the brackets for the Bestop HighRock 4x4 Oversize Tire Carrier and Bestop Over Tire Cargo Basket brackets. Modified the cargo basket, tested a few LED aux reverse lights to replace the flush mounts I have in the stock bumper, welded flag nuts to mount the replacement rear frame mounted tow hook and.. Then did an inventory of all the bits I collected over the winter that need to be installed...
