Thoughts about removing the roll bar pads?

We have "rollies" and "paddies " sir , two factions.

"Rollies" like the bare bars , and "Paddies " like the fatter, padded look.

I'm a "paddie " myself . Even liked them on CJ's. I was ahead if my time.

Be wary of "rollies". One posted he removed his and never looked back , but if you look closely , he still has rear view mirrors. Yep. Kind of hard to swallow that , isn't it .

Trust no one , but God and Jerry Bransford.

You guys need to know that I have no idea in the world where this stuff comes from-

Sunday I was carrying my wife’s purse out of church and one of the guys walked by and said “nice purse Andy”. Without thinking or anything I could hear the words coming out and could not stop myself and said “ You should see what I’m wearing underneath” and just kept walking.

It was like I was watching the whole thing in third person.

I have the philosophy that you're better safe than sorry. Though I'm a klutz and should probably be wearing a helmet most of the day haha. I have never thought of removing the padding in mine. I'm sure I'd hit my head on the bar the first day.

Though now that I've come to terms that, even though I have 3 kids, they never want to go wheeling. So I took out my back seat recently. I might remove the padding from the back.

I'm putting a brace behind the front seats and was taking off the lower pad below should seat belt anchors and its hard as the tube itself IMO.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of these zip-on pads. I'm thinking of removing them. Has anyone removed theirs in the past and then regretted it for some reason? Pros and cons of having them? What say you?

.If you're going to keep that rear seat then don't. It doesn't take much of a jostle to send a face into the bar. Same goes for the front seats. The stock padding might not be much, but its a world of difference vs your head or someone else's
