My axle dump exhaust melted my rear factory rubicon locker sensor. The wires melted and broke off too close to the plug to repair the wires. Found a new sensor on Amazon. Do I have to pull the whole carrier/locker assembly out to get the plunger to work/indicate properly? Any tricks if not?

Yes you’re going to have to pull the carrier- And the trick is to prop the sensor in the open position so that when you insert the carrier it catches the flange on the with the tip -

I have pondered if there could not have been some D shape design that allowed you to do it differently but I don’t know of any-

A piece of wood and a string is considered the best way to do it then you remove it once you have the carrier in place- Macaroni would work- uncooked 😆

It would be a good idea to use a scope to look back there to make sure he catches because you will absolutely get some drama if it does not.

If there is a way to repair the wires and not get into that you would save some headache for right now.
