Big-time bumpsteer!

Axle goes back at the top, forward at the bottom. When it moves forward at the bottom, that moves the bolt rearward in the slot.
I believe you but I'm gonna have to look at that more closely when I go under my TJ in a few minutes to complete fixing the big-ass hole in my muffler from my last trip through Calico.

You haven't figured out that the arm doesn't move yet. It is fixed and its length is controlled by being bolted into the frame side mount. It gets neither longer or shorter. The only way to tilt the axle forward or back is to move the bolt in the slot in the LOWER control arm mounts. If you tip the top of the axle back, the lower mount moves forward because it is below the axle tube centerline. If it moves forward, the only way the bolt can move in the slot to allow that is rearward.

I'm around 4.9 caster now. With the cam bolts (see attached pic) adjusted I might be able to get the caster to 6° and some change? I would think no driveline vibration?

Update, I installed rear adjustable track bar, rear upper control arms, front adjustable track bar. I got rid of drop pitman arm and installed factory Pitman arm and tie rod end at pitman arm. Adjust cam bolts on lower front control arms. Rotated axle clockwise as far as cam bolts would allow to gain maximum caster. I'll take pictures and post tomorrow. I need to check caster and recheck toe. Toe looks off now with the naked eye for some reason. Post back tomorrow.

Struggling trying to get the toe close. The steering wheel is lined up center. The driver side is sorta ok but when I turn the tie rod to get the toe in the passenger side tire is way ahead of the driver side tire as far as toe in. Turning tie rod makes both tires toe in at the same time. See attached pics. Look how much further the passenger side is toe in.

Seems impossible to do this unless I remove the tie rod end where it meets the drag link. I never did this before. Kinda having a brain cramp. I think I'm so close to solving this mystery.

Ok since you have the tires on go ahead and set the Jeep on the ground. Center your steering wheel and lock the column. Then go ahead and measure and make your adjustments. Once you make an adjustment bounce the bumper a couple times to make sure things are settled before you measure each time. Do not worry too much if is looks like one side is moving more than the other they are connected and that is all that matters. Once you know your toe measures correctly then take it for a drive and see if you need to adjust the draglink at the pitman to center the steering wheel.

OK so you think I'm paying to much attention to the passenger tire being in further than the driver side?

I’m actually fascinated with this thread.

It is all logical. My only question, @Mandolinman you changed to a Stock Pitman, but still have the drop frame Mount for the Drag Link?

Also, is the Hannibal Mask still on this?

Yes Hannibal is alive and well 😆. The drop trackbar mount is barely dropped enough dropped enough to account for having the drop pitman arm. If you go back in this thread it is explained by someone. The geometry is much better now. I'll try to post a before and after pic. I'm under the weather at the moment but I'll post back soon.
