Naaaaa... I definitely would change the color... nix the yellow all together, change that purple-ish looking color to more of a modern Patriot Blue to match my '06 Ram.

Love the '50s Buick/Oldsmobile rear window treatment. I'd keep that. One solid color, probably black. Red wheels with baby-moons, gangster whitewalls, slammed to the ground, lake-pipes, fender skirts, a return to a front clip without the stacked and canted quad lights, chrome bumpers, and a "For Sale" sign in the windshield.

There. That'd fix it! :sneaky:

Bad cell phone picture of my mechanic's latest project: A '41 Willys repro. No power yet, will probably be a blown 427 he's been building over the last few years. It has a fuel cell in the trunk, and a VERY narrowed Ford 9 inch between a pair of VERY wide semi-slicks.

In October 1955, the Ford Motor Company introduced the Continental as a separate luxury subsidiary, showcasing the Mark II at the Paris Motor Show. The Mark II was designed by Ford’s Special Product Operations team, which comprised William Clay Ford, John Reinhart, Gordon Buehrig, and Harley Copp. Priced at around $10,000, the Mark II was the only model offered by the brand and only 2,994 coupes were manufactured between 1956 and 1957.

Positioned as a direct competitor to the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, the Mark II was the most expensive American-produced car of that time. The Mark II was exclusively a two-door hardtop coupe and used standard Lincoln mechanical components, including its “Y-block” V8 and automatic transmission. While the vehicle was mostly hand-assembled, leading Ford to incur significant losses for each car produced.

This 1956 Continental Mark II is one of roughly 2,550 initial-year models built for the first model year. The vehicle was sold on BaT in August 2021 and is coated in black with red and cream leather interior. A 368 cubic inch V8 engine powers the car that was factory rated at 285 horsepower and is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes, 15-inch steel wheels, electric windows and seats, air conditioning, and a Town Country push-button AM radio.

Mean while on the other side of town 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham: Hand brushed Stainless Steel roof , 325 h.p. with dual quads , 4 dr. hardtop and $ 13074.00 base price. You were definitely a high roller to get one of the 704 built. GM lost $ 10,000 on every car , it was a time of bragging rights , not making profit on a flagship car.

Cool Mopar I've never seen before ! Thanks for showin it!

Though it's claimed to be the original 392 hemi by the restorer (it's a Barret-Jackson auction car), I'm seeing some billet aluminum parts on there. While it does make for a beautiful engine, I'd much rather see it restored to its original state. Just my preference, of course.

The '57 and '58 Eldorado Broughams are beautiful. Definitely on my if-I-fell-into-a-pile-of-cash list of cars to buy. Let's not overlook the fact that these cars came with a set of magnetic shot glasses and flask. Also, makeup and perfume in the backseat area.

Today's Cadillac would piss their pants if anyone found a cigar lighter in one of their cars......
