Recently i found out my engines in need of a rebuild however I can seem to find anyone with crate engines that make the 4.0 I would just swap out a junkers engine but my parents are helping me pay for it and they will only do it if I get a brand new engine any help would be appreciated.

Crate 7.3?

Here's something else to tell your folks...most of if not all engine remanufactures require the engine to be installed by a shop in order to honor any warranty thinly offered.

You'd do well to find a used engine.

You'd do well to rebuild yours...any school auto shop programs in your area? Might be able to get class credit and rebuild an engine.

Lots of horror stories on these forums of folks with freshly rebuilt engines that crap out. Sometimes it just happens. Also hard to find quality parts and workmanship these days.

I'd recommend S and J engines out of Spokane. They typically have several months of lead time.

Holy gallons per mile batman!

My old wakeboard boat had a 454 in it... originally had a 302. Bought it off a hot rod buddy that had swapped it. Results were not what we were expecting. Boat got significantly better gas milage (gallons per hour) because it ran at a fraction of RPMs. Hit that thing full throttle and would yank someones arm off.

The 632ci motor is the new 350ci motor. Yuge aftermarket support.
