Savvy off-road sold? (the unofficial Savvy customer support and Savvy rant thread)

And they show you appreciation by going absolutely bat shit crazy for no reason and try to kill you..hard pass for me
And when I learned they get colic and you have to put on a 3' long glove to go after the problem I drew the line to horse ownership for my wife who was raised on them.

My wife and I both were raised with horses. Neither of us have any desire to own one again. 2,000+ pounds of flesh controlled by a walnut sized brain. And I don't know what it is about women and horses - one of my co-workers got trapped in that quagmire years back with his wife, poor bastard.

Horse stuff is a financially dangerous game. Makes Jeeps look like child’s play.

My brother just bought a second 50 acre property with house, barns, corrals, etc to save money. His gal was boarding her english riding competition horses at a fancy place that did massages and laser therapy 😂

Damn, buying a 50 acre property with house, barns, and corrals saved money!!!??? That "fancy place" must have indeed been fancy lol.

I had horses growing up... Didn't get it then, don't get it now.

Such an expensive animal to be so mindless and fragile. Run head first into a fence, they're fine. Step on a rock wrong and their leg shatters.

Horses do have their moments, they can be surprisingly smart sometimes when they're not operating in flight mode. We had a horse that used to open it's stall, and let itself out of the barn into the pasture at night. But then that same horse would piss on his food, so I dunno

So where does a pellet smoker fall into that? Or an expensive pan set? An expensive mixer? A welder?

Welder starts off as a hobby, so you’re not sure you’ll really use it or not, don’t really need it bc you don’t know if you’ll use it. It’s a gift.

Pellet smoker? IDK, that one depends.

Expensive pan set or mixer. Not gifts. Same with expensive kitchen knives and the like.

anyone noticed that Savvy is charging taxes for out of California shipments now?
Most companies do now, Amazon does as well and they didn't use to. The out of state tax laws have become so complex that it's easier for companies to just charge it rather than take the risk of not colleting it and having the other state come after the retailer.

This is one explanation I found that makes sense...
If you’re a merchant who sells within the United States, sales tax due dates can be an unwelcome wake up call after an otherwise profitable year, especially if you’re new to the world of US sales tax. Between the different sales tax rules for each state, the introduction of new tax laws for out-of-state ecommerce sellers and marketplaces, and the penalties of overcharging or failing to remit sales tax, there’s no denying the sales tax compliance process has become more complicated over time.
