Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

It is possible my memory is wrong, but I don't think the Overline fenders had come out yet when I purchased mine. I think I got mine in 2011. I was under the impression that I was avoiding a highline while accomplishing the same thing with when I made the purchase. It seems that has been disproven since.

Before I lifted my Jeep I flexed out my suspension with 35's and my MC fenders, I do have the aluminum but that should make no difference.

I would have needed to add about a 1/2 inch of bumpstop to keep them out of the fender.

It sure doesn't seem like you need highlines!

Another big shout out to @Shawn at Tom Wood's & his employees. Just got a call from Troy at Tom Woods telling me my driveshaft was done and would be shipping it back to me. Then went on to inquire as to which type of yoke I have on my front axle & that they would be sending me new straps for the front yoke. IMO this is above & beyond service. I paid to ship the driveshaft to them but didn't pay for it to be lengthened or rebalanced. They are covering the shipping back to me & are now including new straps & bolts.

ORO sent me a messages that my bushings had shipped and should be here Saturday. The parts from Yukon only had to come over the hills from Everett and should be here today.

Did they put up much of a fuss?

No not at all. Took me a while of being on hold. The manual says to call tech support. So I waited on hold for awhile. Then tell them the issue and they transferred me to sales. Had to wait on hold again.

Went back into the house to grab something and these were sitting on the porch.

Got one side assembled already.

Grease all the parts that are going into the hub. From their directions in the assembly manual I've got the correct spacer.
Axle snap ring is installed.

Next is the hub retainer plate and hub snap ring.

And then the hub itself. Man are these a bear to turn. Might have to get a hub tool.

Now to do the other side.

Other side done. I used a different grease on the drivers side than the passenger side. So I'm going to disassemble the passenger side and regrease everything since the drivers side hub seems to be working better.

It's still stiff as heck to turn it all the way to FREE and back to LOCK. Might get easier once they're used some?

Won't be working on the Jeep tomorrow. My dog is going in for surgery @ 7:30 AM so I'll be in town taking care of him. Shouldn't be anything terrible but he's getting some tests done and having some teeth pulled. He's getting old so they need to remove a few that have gotten loose.

Got my tracking number from Tom Woods and should have the driveshaft Friday.

Good luck with Doggie tomorrow, Rick.

Thanks Jeff.
Had a big scare with him a few years ago where they'd found a growth on his liver. He made it thru that one so I have my fingers crossed now. While no where near what a hospital visit costs it's still expensive taking one to the vet. I'm shocked by what it costs. now.

Dropped my fur buddy off at the Vet this morning and they sent me home. Guess they don't want me pacing around the office. I go back to pick him up @16:15.

After messing around with this electric parking brake setup I've come to realize that it's not going to fit. It's too long to fit behind the transfer case and originally I had thought that I could fit it in the center console and route the cable through the floor. But that doesn't work either.

It's 14.t5" long and there just isn't a spot underneath the Jeep where it's fit.

The other obstacle is the Anti-Rock bar sits below the tub which gets in the way of the brake cable splitter bracket.

I was hoping to be able to have a parking brake system that was mechanical which why I'd purchased the Cadillac calipers for the rear. But at this point I haven't come up with a way to make this work so I'm going with a ball valve type setup from Gen Right.

It isn't the perfect solution to the problem but it does give me a parking brake. And before anyone asks, the line locks aren't supposed to be used for more than 1-3 minutes which is why I needed something else for a parking brake.

Not Jeep related but Ryder is back home. They ended up pulling 13 teeth out of his little mouth.
To be honest I'm SHOCKED 😲. They also did some tests which I won't know anything for 7-10 days.

He's still pretty doped up right now. He'll sleep for the rest of the day would be my guess 😴.

Poor guy. How’s he going to eat? Soft stuff?

I’ve got a MC front TB and my front CA’s are MC and they’re quiet. I can’t say that about my Zavvy rear JJ CA’s. 🙁

Most dogs have 42 teeth, mine went in for 8 to get removed, got the call mid surgery that they needed to take 22 more. It’s amazes me she’s got no issue with hard dog food after the recovery period. Glad yours is back home safe

He's awake and hungry this morning. I have soft (Canned) dog food for him while he recovers but he's already eating hard food too. I just watched him eat some of my daughters dogs food. He's still a little wobbly on his feet but I'm just glad to see him up and moving.

I'd have to look at the teeth chart that they sent home but he's got teeth left but I guess he'd also had lost a few. He is 11 years old so while not OLD he is getting up there.

And BTW thanks for everyone's concern & well wishes. I was never a small dog person but when I was at my worst when my leg didn't allow me to stand or walk much I wanted a companion. And Shih Tzu's are a low maintenance dog and don't require them to be walked much. So he's been a good fur buddy for me.
