LJ prices coming back down

Still seeing some insane asking prices for LJR’s and Rubihara’s. Sure made me debate liquidating mine at the peak amounts.

The only thing that’s going to change now is the frequency of how quick they pop up- In the five years that I’ve been around TJs- I’ve seen them pretty much dry up a lot- It used to be at any given point you could find a dozen Rubicons and quite a few that were just peaches and now you see maybe one a month or every three months or so.

Try a VW Type ll. I remember when I was paid $100 to take these out of people's yards. $6k for a project?!!

Jeep XJ prices are still pretty insane as well. Specially if you can find one that hasn't had the fenders hacked up.

The guy I sold my 99' XJ to ($7,000), asked me if I wanted to buy it back......... for $2500 more than I sold it to him for. I passed. I only sold it to buy my Rubicon back after selling it.
p.s. I still miss it.

That's a good price. If I was in a different situation I'd scoop it up. Put about 15 into it. Sell it for 40.

There is almost nothing left of it! lol If you have it shipped to your door, it'll probably show up in 5 gallon buckets.

I'm at a point with my LJ that I would only sell it if I needed money to survive, unless someone offered me stupid $$ to buy it, which would never happen with how many miles I have on it. I'm happy to be stuck with it. I'll keep driving it until the wheels fall off (again) and then I'll put 'em back on and drive it some more.

I have seen what our European friends start with. It's all perspective.

I hope I was getting across my point in posting the link and to remind myself, we have it easy. Well, come to think of it, old CJ stuff is going for outrageous money.

Never mind.
