Why does every single person think they need a dog? Only to let it sit outside, be chained up etc. I just don't understand it. I dislike pets so I am definitely bias but I also respect animals and believe they can feel.

I understand people have the right to own dogs and there isn't much you can do about it but damn..

I have a dog. Had 4 so far and 3 at one time. Take care of them if you get them. I feel the same way about kids.

Three of our dogs were shelter leftovers. One so scared he wasn't adoptable. One so thin she couldn't walk more than 100 feet before needing to rest. The other one just a pain in the ass prissy thing.

They make good alarms if you leave them indoors.

haha, you should come out here. You'd hate it. EVERYONE has a dog and brings it everywhere.

I cannot disagree that a lot of people that have dogs shouldn't

I have two dogs and they are my children, since I don't have any human tax deductions running around. It bothers me to see people that get them to only leave them outside. I get it, like those people that have dogs for hunting and not as family pets...that is one thing. The dogs are well cared for and have a place to stay dry. The ones that bother me are the people that don't take care of their dogs...let them run free to get bumped by a car, or chain them up without water, etc. There is a special place in hell for people that do that.

This is the kind of owner I'm referring to..I moved into a new place and the dipshit across the street lives in a tiny apartment with a tiny yard and has a big ass dog. The poor thing sits outside all day rain, snow or heat. Nobody exercises it or pays anyattention to it. So why have the damn thing? Give it to someone that actually wants a dog.

I guess the same argument could be made with having kids but that's a topic for another day lol

We as Coloradoans can't drink our IPAs without our rescue dogs!

Agree, some people shouldn't own dogs. When we adopted our current dog she would stay outside during the day while we were at work. She had closed yard, a dog door and could go into an insulated garage with a bed/food and toys. Soon as one of us were home she was inside. When the pandemic hit, my wifes job moved her to remote so she is now home all day and the dog is inside with her. Whenever we go anywhere now, the dog (if not with us), stays indoors in a nice cool or warm house. My wife won't have it any other way. She just turned 7 three days ago.

I have always had dogs, they live outside but run free, we don't put them in cages or on chains. But the dog owner I loath is the one that takes them everywhere!!! If it's a legit service animal, by all means. But your pet doesn't need to go to the grocery store and put their nasty ass in the shopping cart. Like I said, I am a dog guy...had my current mutt 10 years, but they aren't people.

I realize I will be the minority here, flame away, it will not change my mind. :ROFLMAO:

We went to red robin the other weekend (burger and beer place for those that don't know) and a couple had their dog with them..It was really hard not to say something. Besides the sanitary part what about people allergies? Just leave the damn dog at home...dont leave the dog in the car because someone will bust your windows out lol

I know I know cats are where it's at..dont get me started lol

My observations of dog owners is that they are very often yelling at their dog(s) to be quiet. I have never felt the need to yell at any cat I have had in my world. That tells me enough about dog ownership.
