I know y'all are knowledgeable on lifts, wheels and tires BUT can the dudes in the back help me out here. On my 04, the headlight wiring is, well..... umm its bad.
Does anyone know what terminals were used on these plugs? I want to depin them and attempt to clean the plugs, cut the wiring back and solder in new wiring and new terminals but not sure what they are. I think I only have crimpers for packard 56 and one or two others. I'd like to know before I attempt to take them apart

They’re 56 series. You have two areas of concern. your wires are corroded pretty far back. Also since this is the drivers side plug you would need terminals that would accept two wires. Probably easiest to cut one off a used harness from a wrecking yard or get creative and fab something up.

Thanks! I think I have some 56 terminals in my box. I was curious about the plugs. One side is 2 wire and the other is a 3 wire. Both sides have 2 wires joined into each terminal crimp. I'm thinking I can cut it back a bit and solder in a single 10GA or 12GA wire and run that into the OEM plugs after I clean them up.

Most salvage yards around me never get Jeep Wranglers in.

Cut one off a Jeep Cherokee.

I think a Dorman 84790 would be a good replacement. Splice it in.

That would be a good choice for the passenger’s side. Wire gauge is too small for the driver’s side.

You know, you could just wrap those plugs in electrical tape and replace the harness.

I just went to the local Toyota place and picked up my harness and lights. I forgot all about those. Going to order a few more for future use.

I found some terminals in my tool box and went to crimpin'
