What did you do to your TJ today?

As most day's I drove BB to work, man it is so relaxing to drive my TJ to work and home !!!!!! It's like my unwind, relax and just enjoy life time!!!!!!

I hear you brother…. I often say that I’m having a day that only a drive in my jeep can fix … it’s great therapy 🤪

Spent 1.5 days. I restored the cranked mortgage in the rear of the body. p.s sorry for my English, I write through a translator.

I noticed my steering wheel moved after the last off road adventure. My lower passenger control arm nuts were loose and it was 1/8-1/4 inch shorter. So I measureated the other one and made them the same length. Then tightened the crap out of the locking nuts.

I lost some oil on the trip. While I was under there, I noticed the passenger side of the engine was oily. So I torqued down the valve cover gasket.

I mowed the yard too, but that was a waste of time so I didn't get to the O2 sensor.

Thought I’d do some new plugs in the old girl. Not thinking double platinums would make that much of a difference, I was shocked to notice how big a difference they actually made! I mean sure my mileage still sucks, but the throttle response, perkiness, and acceleration were much improved. I love how she holds her speed on the highway too. I highly recommend this “upgrade”!

Changed the oil - Pennzoil 10w30 high mileage I think conventional and a Wix filter.

Noticed my hood latches are missing a bolt/stud. Do I just spend $25 and buy cheap hood latches, stuff in a random bolt or does anyone know where to locate a replacement stud?

Also pulled my IAC I installed last summer because my idle is occasionally dropping. Looks good.

Sometimes the small fixes are the most welcomed. For $10 this was a winner! My hood prop was always poppin off and laying on my radiator getting all nice and hot for me to grab and burn myself with. Not no more!

I had the same problem. Solution? 3 wraps of electrical tape.

I bought one of those on Amazon only to find out doesn’t work on the older TJ models…. What year is yours?

Same problem with it popping off. I always lay my hood back on the windshield frame so I just removed the whole hood prop. Noticeable improvement in power and gas mileage with the reduced weight;)
