hey everyone,

I have a 2005 Rubicon and the rear diff is leaking I'm not sure from where but I'm 100% it's not from the differential over. Does anyone know where else it could be leaking from?

Thanks,
Logan

Can you post a couple pictures of where it's leaking?

I had a leak from the pinion on mine. It was slinging fluid up onto the body so it was rather obvious what was going on.

Other than the cover & pinion, there is the fill plug, drain plug, breather fitting, and compressor fitting that could potentially be leaking.

i think mines the pinion, any brand i should stick to for the seal?

I had a shop replace mine so I don't know what they used. That was probably over 5 years ago and I haven't had any problems with it since. I'd guess Dana/Spicer would be a good brand to go with.

If you post a picture or two, we should be able to help you confirm where the leak is from.
