What did you do to your TJ today?

4:88 Gears

1” Body Lift

Motor Mount Lift

Next are painted genright fenders for my @Plumber1 tribute build. (If I can get my nerve up)

Also have a set of beadlocks with mudtires from my ‘03 for it.

Mechanic is a straight on leaf spring guy- has a 45,000 dollar YJ and did all his own work- he said “that is the best driving jeep I have ever been in.” Pretty cool.

I ALSO NEED TO REPLACE. THIS BRACKET. DO YOU HAVE A DRAWING?

I don't know the proper way to do it but this is how I'm tackling it.

Lined it up next to the Artec on the tube to figure out the angle

Then I dimpled on the lower edge of the bracket as a reference to keep that angle. You can see the dimple under the edge of the bracket in the above photo as well.

Cut off the Artec brackets, which is what I was doing last night when I called it quits.

Then I intend to use the dimple as an angle reference and align the bracket laterally on the tube reference the spring perches, which should be about 3/8" in board when measured at the inner edge. (assuming the shop that installed the Artec brackets got them in the right place - but they've been working fine)

Figured I'd just set the driver's side at the same angle using an angle finder, and again reference the perch.

I had a few extra minutes before heading to work for the night so I decided to swap out my blower motor for a new one I’ve had sitting around for a couple months. I thought it was going to be a lot harder and more time consuming until I was reading through the FSM and saw that you don’t have to pull the dash lol remove the battery and 5 screws later it’s out. I cleaned a pile of debris out of the vent where the blower sits too so maybe it won’t rain leaves and seeds everywhere when I turn on the heater. Hopefully it will give me the full spectrum of fan speeds too. I’ve previously replaced the resistor and the switch but had no luck with either.

I'm sure he'll allow it ... with a small royalty fee. :geek:

I hear ya - ya gotta respect a guy who’s not afraid of a pubic hair. ( a plumbers’ kid told his 2nd grade class that once)

It’s actually the nerve to wreck the stock fenders.

Needed a spring for my ARB compressor. Here it is on the box it arrived in.

Companies do that so UPS, FedEx and USPS don't crush the part when they throw the box around all day. ;) I've gotten so many free parts using Paypal and having my boxes crushed during shipping, by idiots that don't care.
p.s. I watched the FedEx driver roll my 35" tires mounted on steel wheels over all the packages in his truck instead of picking them up.
