Rock Krawler vs. Savvy / Currie

In the past I’ve noticed Savvy sells Rock Krawler suspension for the JKs but not TJs. I’d assume Savvy likes the design/geometry of the Rock Krawler products for the Jk but maybe not so much the TJ. I know Savvy offers the Midarm for TJ application, curious to know why the RK lift for the TJ may not be as ideal. I believe one benefit is the design for the 3 link upper arm, not using the cast factory location.
 
I have an early RK long arm with big lift installed on my TJR (PO put it on). I've slightly updated it with johnny joints from Currie and custom Heim joints in the rear. I'm not very knowledgeable about suspensions but I haven't been unhappy with the RK. There are a couple of exceptions--the main one being that the front end seems to come up well before others on climbs. That has been a real problem. The other problem has just been wear and tear. I had to do major surgery on the rear axle cradle over the diff. It was worn out. Finally, rust is accumulating. I've repainted the arms but the skid/connecting points are bad. I'm considering taking them off and getting them galvanized.

This is at least one answer.
 
You might be reading too much into it. The TJ market is pretty limited compared to the JK market. Rather than sell a bit of everything it could be Savvy is focusing on volume by eliminating a few fringe TJ products and just carrying those products with the best potential for TJ profit.
 
I had a 5.5" RK kit before I had much of a clue on what suspensions were good/bad, it didn't last long on my TJ. If I was choosing I'd go Savvy/Currie for sure. They're one of the most respected vendors out there that I'm aware of.
 
Getting information on control arms for order. Was going with Savvy Johnny Joint aluminum arms but there has been a number of reports of having to rebuild the JJ's after a fairly short time to cure noise and wear issues. Rock Krawler is offering a JJ like joint that seems to do what a JJ does without the maintenance. Any one gone with the Rock Krawler control arms and how is longevity. Have also thought about Metal Cloak arms but there has been some question about the longevity of their JJ imitation bushings.

What lubricant do the Johny Joints require?? Currently have my grease gun loaded with Red Sticky grease and would like not to have to change grease cartridges on each greasing.

The few reports I've read have been from those in wet and/or red clay environments. I've never read one from a SoCal owner.
What lubricant do the Johny Joints require??
mrblaine recommends Redline CV-2 (at least for those of us in non-wet non-red clay environments)

You could buy a tub of CV-2 grease instead.
Johnny Joints don't accept grease very well through the zerks. You disassemble the joint (when new if necessary) and grease by hand when needed.

A really easy solution here that's pretty cheap is a second grease gun. When you're talking $1500 in arms, that last $30-50 shouldn't be what breaks the bank.

This. And why not just use the CV2 on the other stuff on the Jeep? Unlike other "Moly" greases it work in Ujoints. I use it for almost everything on my TJ.

Can CV2 be used on the Currectlync steering, centering balls, and all zerks?
