Buy once cry once?

After 2 field repairs... rough country had to go. Guess it wasnt rough enough.

Waste of $80 bucks.

Shoulda went with JKS first... the design is less "complex" and they are mucho beefier. Thumbs up to the grease fittings on the JKS.

The JKS u-hanger is not in pic... which looks sturdier than the RC piece.

Installed a set of JKS disconnects yesterday, installation was straightforward and relatively easy and they appear to be solid. And they got rid of that loose rattley feeling caused by my stock links being this close to sepperating
Anti-Rocks are on the list of future mods but the current list of must fixes is too long to do everything

Hey, if you like getting out and disconnecting and reconnecting, more power to you
Im out there anyways airing up or down.

Plus I also like being extra tippy when unconnected... gives me that boaty feeling. *sarcasm*

Really... tho... nothing against AR worth mentioning... just dont care about it as much as others.

And yes... i have driven a jeep with a Currie a few times.

Good post. The right angle joint of the rough country won't last a year of mild use. The JKS are misunderstood.. people think sway bar links can't be that much better. Well, slap on a set of JKS and you know right away what a quality link means... absolutely no roll, no slop, positive cornering, no fighting it in corners. They engage instantly and have better control at every point of cornering ...and sway bar links are pushed progressively as you corner on the highway.

I have them on both my TJR's. I was blown away when I chunked my loose Rough Country links and installed those. Now they are one of my quickest recommendations. Besides the antirock, no one sells anything comparable...all the other links are about the same...with Rough Country's being the most likely of all to fail with that right angle joint.

RC could really make some strides with some minor changes ....better bushings, more parts in lifts, eliminate some parts, and a few design changes. They make some stout stuff, they just need to eliminate the weak links they tend to design in.

All you guys that run links and like good highway manners from your TJ, you are missing out if you haven't got JKS.

Does RC make anything at all that is good quality, works well, and holds up? I'm sure not aware of anything I'd ever recommend from RC. Great company name but that's it IMHO.

Not really Jerry... everything they sell has to be modified to make it close to par, or avoided altogether. I just started a thread about things I did to make my 03 work...but it's all about like my cousin bragging about how smart he played it in prison the last 3 years - I said it was real smart not to end up there.

Looking at those sway bar end links... it is clear RC doesnt not invest much in R&D.

The overall design was set to fail.. threads were weak... the nuts were too narrow, and didnt grab enough thread... etc.

You can have the best materials (they dont)... but if you skimp on R&D.. your product design will fail.

Which is why RC is subpar.
