Steering wheel sits slightly off-center on highway

The reason I’m hesitant to mess with the alignment is because I’ve had the car aligned multiple times with the old steering setup. Now with the new steering setup and the new upper control arm bushings installed, the same problem is still there.

I have an interesting idea. Could my fox steering stabilizer be the issue? The car pulls left on the highway and I need to hold the steering wheel a little right.

So this could be the reason to why I need to hold the wheel to the right? And can I temporarily not have a steering stabilizer on the car to diagnose if this is my issue?

Yes you can remove your steering stabilizer to diagnose.it will feel a little lighter and twitchy.

Can you already just adjust the drag link? Please. It’s like two bolts and rotate it to center while the Jeep is running. Doesn’t affect the alignment.

I drove the car on the highway and closely paid attention to the issues. The issue is that I need to hold the steering wheel right so the car doesn’t pull left. The steering wheel is pretty much centered on its own but I want to identify why it pulls left. I’m going to remove my steering stabilizer tomorrow when I get home and drive to see if it goes away. My car didn’t have this pulling left issue until I installed my new lift kit which included the new steering stabilizer.

It's off center due to the Correctlync install. It happens (AFAIK) every time steering components are replaced. Just the way it is. Use two 3/4" end wrenches and do as Jerry suggested.

You’ve kind of jumped around in “what’s wrong”.

What you’re saying, in this post, is that when you drive, the jeep pulls to the “Left”.

Your first post you thoght the “right caliper” was sticking, which would pull the Jeep….to the “Right”.

You’re never going to get good advice if you give opposite information in different posts.

If your hands are off the wheel and the Jeep pulls left, as your last post stated, then you have to figure out that first. The Drag Link adjustment wont cause or cure that. At least not to my knowledge. You will have to adjust the drag link sleeve and center the wheel, once you get the pulling corrected.

If it is pulling to the left, that would be a “left” caliper sticking, fyi.

If it was me, I’d do this:
1. Check the PSI of tires.
2. Do a home toe in like the write up that @Jerry Bransford has in the How To’s.
3. If that doesn’t help, then flip the tires and see what it does. That was my issue in pulling.
4. Forgot, yes pull the stabilizer. I of course have one, but no they aren’t necessary. Eliminate that factor if you want, probably first.

I have had a front end alignment done multiple times and it has not fixed my problem. That’s why I don’t think the drag link is the issue.

I took the car on the highway and paid attention to the symptoms. When I’m on the gas, the Jeep pulls left I have to compensate by holding the wheel a bit right. When I’m off the gas or in 4wd high temporarily, the issue goes away. When I let off the gas I can feel the car changing direction in 2wd high. I had my thrust angle adjusted by a shop but I don’t think they did a good job. You can see in the photos provided that the left lower control arm is shorter than the right. I think I good first step is to take it to another alignment shop and have all the control arms set equal in length. There’s no way those arms are properly adjusted. The right arm is like an inch longer. That can’t be right.

With the wheels straight ahead what do you get for hub to hub measurement? Front to back on each side
