I just bought this bumper today for my TJ. The guy I bought it from knew very little about it. He did say the original owner had a tire carrier mounted on it, which was stollen, along with the spare tire. I'm hoping one of you guys can identify the manufacturer so I can replace the tire carrier.

People may need more detailed pics. Get some from the backside and the mounting points.

My hinges had to be replaced so I went the MORryde mount direction.

My TJ has corroded hinges and an old ARB tire carrier that has a substantial dent on the underside and serious sagging in the swing arm. I think I'm going to go this route and buy both the bumper and reinforced hinge bracket. I had that setup on my JLUR.

Two question- it has 31's on the standard Rubicon 16" rims. 1. If I stay with 31's do I need reinforced hinges or not? 2. Can I put 33's on those stock Rubi wheels? I have a 3" lift so I think I'm good from a rubbing perspective.

TIA

Sorry for the jack

Stolen or stollen?

More seriously, I've never found a bumper mounted tire carrier worth it to actively seek a replacement. I'd lean into what @RINC suggests with a reinforced tailgate mount (or just tossing the tire in the tub if you don't need the rear seat).

Yum! Definitely replace the carrier with stollen.

Swing out tire carriers suck, and you would do better getting the MoRyde system.

I would not install a swing-out tire carrier onto that bumper. No way, no how. For the most part swing-out tire carriers mounted to the bumper don't hold up, it's the rare well-built/designed swing out that holds up but I don't see that bumper being adapted to support it properly.

I'd go strictly with the Morryde or Exogate spare tire carriers. They are strong and hold up well to even 35" spare tires.

This is what can happen to a swing-out tire carrier that isn't well designed and made with quality components.

31" and 35" fit. Never been a fan of a swingout carrier. This was a great alterative.
