Exhaust could be possible source of vibrations

My exhaust was causing my vibrations.

Like most of us I’ve lifted my Jeep a couple inches. After the initial 2” BB I had to lower my skid plate so to ease vibes. Over the course of a couple years I’ve added a true 2” lift with adjustable CAs and traded the lowered skid for a motor mount lift. But I still had slight vibrations.
Until I upgraded my exhaust.
I needed to change out the cat and decided to go from 2.25” to 2.5” exhaust. After removing the old exhaust I mocked up and welded in the new cat, piping, muffler etc. I’ll be damned if all my vibes didn’t disappear.
Apparently the exhaust was getting bound up and was causing vibes under load, especially on highway.

I’d suggest loosening the exhaust when lifting the jeep to relieve any tension that might be caused. Then after it’s sitting at ride height, make sure clearance is all good and tighten back up.

Hopefully this helps someone.
